We used golf movies to help inspire us to create cards that could be applied on the golf course. Some of these cards would include movies such as Tin Cup and Happy Gilmore.

 

Our Top Favorite: Golf Movies


1. Happy Gilmore -a 1996 sports comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan and starring Adam Sandler in the titular role. The movie follows Happy, a failed ice hockey player, who discovers he has a talent for golf and joins the PGA Tour to win enough money to save his grandmother's house. Along the way, Happy must face off against a rival golfer, deal with his explosive temper and win the heart of his dream girl. The film features a mix of slapstick humor, sports action, and heartwarming moments, making it a beloved classic in the comedy genre.


2. Tin Cup - a 1996 romantic comedy sports film directed by Ron Shelton and starring Kevin Costner as Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy, a talented but self-destructive golf pro who falls in love with his psychiatrist, Dr. Molly Griswold (Rene Russo). The movie follows Jeff Lebowski, also known as "The Dude," a laid-back slacker who gets mistaken for a millionaire with the same name. When a group of thugs urinate on his rug, The Dude seeks compensation from the wealthy Lebowski, but soon finds himself embroiled in a kidnapping plot involving the millionaire's wife. Along with his bowling buddies, Walter and Donny, The Dude navigates through a surreal and absurd adventure filled with mistaken identities, eccentric characters, and unexpected twists. The film has since become a cult classic, known for its witty dialogue, memorable characters, and unique blend of humor and noir-style storytelling.
